The first day of filming

Location: Timișoara – city centre, the outdoor area of the mall, park, café
Participants: Me as the protagonist & Antonia as the camera operator

                       For the first day of filming, I wanted to capture shots that were spontaneous and natural rather than staged. I met my friend Antonia around 4 PM, and we spent the afternoon together walking through the city centre, the outdoor mall, a park, and a café. I gave her the handycam and let her film freely, which meant most of the footage was observational and unplanned. I have also taken some shots with my phone camera.

    This approach will support the nostalgic and intimate tone I’m aiming for in my music video. The slightly shaky and handheld framing creates authenticity, which echoes the feel of home videos and indie music videos. I consider that moving through different locations added variety and helped to naturally show everyday life, while also allowing me to explore reflective, personal moments on camera.

The footage from today will be useful for the non-linear narrative, as it captures real interactions, emotions, and movement. The natural lighting and informal filming style reinforce the emotional and reflective atmosphere I want to create for the protagonist, helping the audience connect with her journey on a personal level.
